London April 2nd, 2025 : WDSC locks in record breaking calendar for 2025 season with date change in USA.

The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship has locked in the 2025 race calendar with 5 events across 3 continents boasting four new venues with the now iconic Erzincan, Turkey  track the only venue to remaining as a tour stop from previous years. Securing deals with local organisers and Tourism boards alike the WDSC continues its growth path by introducing some soon to be iconic locations. A much-anticipated event on the Isle of Man took two years to secure, while the Tour welcomes the addition of the Central American country of El Salvador which is expected to draw riders and spectators from the Central and South American regions.  WDSC did have to negotiate a date change with the Olympic Park in Utah moving event dates from September 4-7 to the later date of September 25-28, to secure the very popular track that runs alongside the Olympic bobsleigh course, which itself will be closed during those dates.

“it is clear the WDSC is going from strength to strength year on year as we have now managed to secure races across three continents, making this a truly global championship, and are looking to further expand Eastwards to Australia, China and the Far East in 2026, so that downhill enthusiasts and professionals alike can all have relatively easy access to our events regardless of where they live in the world. We are elated to be able to announce such a strong calendar this year and are hoping to cap the calendar at 8 events in 2026.” Said Selim Kemahli, Promoter of the WDSC series.
