The World Downhill Championship are elated to announce that GoPro have become the official action camera partner of the WDSC for the 2025 season. GoPro action cameras will capture every turn, every thrill, every descent , offering athletes and film makers unparalleled shot angles at the highest quality.
WDSC locks in record breaking calendar for 2025 season with date change in USA
The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship has locked in the 2025 race calendar with 5 events across 3 continents boasting four new venues with the now iconic Erzincan, Turkey track the only venue to remaining as a tour stop from previous years. Securing deals with local organisers and Tourism boards alike the WDSC continues its growth path by introducing some soon to be iconic locations.
The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship opens doors to Inline Skaters at limited number of events.
After much discussion and by popular demand, the WDSC has decided to incorporate the Inline discipline at 3 events into the 2025 race calendar on a trial basis. This will mean that an Inline World Champion will be crowned based on their cumulative results over the 3-race series, these being Turkiye, Isle of Man and the El Salvador events.
Austria Confirmed to be season opener as the WDSC prepares for record breaking year.
The WDSC is proud to confirm the 2025 season will kick-off in Austria on the 13th June followed immediately by the iconic Ergan Dagi course in Erzincan-Turkiye on the following week. The Austrian event will be hosted by Axamer Lizum resort near Innsbruck featuring a high speed 2.4km course that will test the riders’ nerves.
