MARKARIAN FASTEST IN THRILLING STAND UP QUALIFYING SESSION

15 July, 2022, KOZAKOV (Czech Republic): Yanis Markarian set the pace in a thrilling qualifying session in Stand Up, trading times at the top of the time sheets with Harry Clarke and last week’s pace setter Diego Poncelet.

The French rider was in fifth spot after the opening salvos, moving up the leader board into second and then topping of the time sheets with 2:19.36 on his final run.

Australia’s Harry Clarke was always in contention and topped the session with his middle run, posting a best time of 2:20.04s before being overhauled, with Spain’s Diego Poncelet, who was the fastest in free practice on Thursday and equalling the track record, having to settle for third place.
