RM&M LIAISING CLOSELY WITH ROAN MOUNTAIN EVENT ORGANISERS & AUTHORITIES

Roan Mountain, TN, USA, 30 September 2024: Race Marketing & Management, promoter of the Brinx World Downhill Skateboarding Championship, is holding talks with Roan Mountain event organisers and authorities following the devastation the region has suffered in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

The final round of this year’s championship is scheduled to take place in Roan Mountain on 24-27 October, but in light of recent events, talks are ongoing as to whether or not it can go ahead. “The reports and scenes of the damage caused by the storm are just desperate for the region and local community and our thoughts are with everyone affected,” said RM&M director Selim Kemahli. “We are liaising closely with key stakeholders and the authorities to monitor the situation and a decision as to whether or not the event can go ahead as scheduled will be taken in the coming days.”
