WDSC ROAN MOUNTAIN SEASON-ENDING-FINALE TO GO AHEAD

*Revised dates 8-10 November

Roan Mountain, TN, USA, 4 October 2024: RM&M and the organisers of the Roan Mountain event, round 3 and the season-ending-finale to the 2024 Brinx World Downhill Skateboarding Championship, have confirmed that the event will go ahead.

Like many communities on the Tennessee North Carolina borders Roan Mountain was left devastated in the wake of Hurricane Helene, but the recovery process and clean up is now well underway with the local organisers keen for the event to be held.

The event will now take place on 8-10 November. “We are delighted to be going ahead in light of what has happened and in order not to add any unneeded pressure to the local infrastructure and services we will combine all the scheduled activities into three days,” said Selim Kemahli of RM&M. “The spirit of the local community is incredible, and we look forward to putting on a great show worthy of that.”

Qualifying for the ‘Qualifying Series’ will take place on the 8th with the races on the morning of the 9th immediately followed by Qualifying for the WDSC with the WDSC races taking place on the 10th. The revised schedule will be published in the coming days.
