AKSARAY REPLACES ORDU AS HOST VENUE FOR ROUND 3

AKSARAY REPLACES ORDU AS HOST VENUE FOR ROUND 3

LONDON, 9 September 2022: The World Downhill Skateboarding Championship (WDSC) has confirmed a change of venue for round 3 which is scheduled to take place on 7-9 October, with the city of Aksaray replacing Ordu. “Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we have taken the decision to move the venue for the upcoming round of the championship to Aksaray,” said Selim Kemahli. “We realise the timing of this announcement is not ideal but are delighted that the city [of Aksaray] has stepped in and invited us to go there, allowing us the opportunity to maintain the tremendous momentum and pace the championship is gathering this year.

“The new venue is an even more exciting prospect and location to look forward to. It is a spectacular setting  with a very challenging course set out on Hasan Dagi, one of two summits of the volcano Mount Hasan that will test all the competitors.”

Kemahli also confirmed that all the benefits and incentives previously offered to the first 50 competitors who register, free accommodation and food, remain in place and now also includes free transfers to and from the local airports of Nevsehir and Kayseri.

The event will be streamed live with all categories covered; qualifying, the knockout rounds, semi-finals and finals will be aired on the WDSC web site, Facebook and YouTube channels and Recast.
