KOZAKOV CONFIRMED AS ROUND 2 OF THE WORLD DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIP

LONDON, 5 July, 2022: Race Marketing & Management (RMM) has confirmed that round 2 of this year’s inaugural World Downhill Skateboarding Championship (WDSC) will take place in Kozakov in the Czech Republic, 13-16 July.

Rider registration for the Kozakov Challenge is already open with organiser Czech Gravity Sports Association O.S. expecting a strong international turnout.

July marks the start of an exciting new era for the sport with the first two rounds, Monticiano, Italy, July 9-10 and the Kozakov Challenge taking place over back-to-back weekends. “These are exciting times for the sport and we are delighted to be collaborating with the organisers of these events, Not 4 All and Czech Gravity Sports Association,” said Selim Kemahli, managing director of RMM, promoter of the WDSC.

Kemahli has confirmed that sister company Case Productions will attend the events, delivering news cuts to international news agencies and post-produce two 26 minute highlights programmes from each [event]. “The initial interest and pick up from a wide range of broadcasters has been very positive,” he said. “The sport is just spectacular, and with the support of event organisers, the competitors and our partners, World Gravity Sports Federation (WGSF), we are looking to expand the interest and broaden the geographic reach through broadcast partners”.

News cuts will be delivered to international news agencies Reuters, SNTV and the EBU, with a growing list of broadcasters, Edge Sports, Pro-Active TV, Action Sports, Nova in Greece, Freesport UK, SABC South Africa, Sports TV in Turkey, Trek TV in France, CNBC and In Demand in the USA and Canada, signing up to take the highlights programmes.
