WDSC HEADING TO WALES TO “RIDE THE DRAGON”

LONDON, 8 March 2024: Race Marketing & Management (RMM), promoter of the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship (WDSC), has confirmed that the WDSC will be heading to Dolebolion Farm in Pontrhydfendigaid near Abersytwyth, Wales for Round 2 on July 25-28.

The announcement marks another first for the championship in its third season which is proving to be a stellar year for new venues and events run solely by the WDSC and sanctioned by the WGSF.

The track, better known for uphill rally racing and known locally as ‘Ride the Dragon’ is a popular spot with the local downhill community in the UK where many smaller scale events have been run in the past. “The track is slightly shorter than what we are used to, but that said, we have drops of 26% as well as a mix of high speed and sharp bends. So, this will be a good test of rider skill.” said RMM managing director, Selim Kemahli.

“WDSC is all about pushing the riders to the limits of their abilities and at the end of the year announcing the best riders in the world as deserved World Champions who have consistently proven themselves over a season of hard racing.” said Selim Kemahli of RMM.
