WDSC POSTPONE BRAZIL EVENT

London (UK): Monday, October 31: The organisers of the World Downhill Skateboarding Championship have confirmed that they have taken the decision to postpone the final round of the season [round 4], provisionally scheduled to take place in Fortaleza, Brazil on 25-26 November.

Promoter, Race Marketing & Management and World Gravity Sports Federation are now working closely with officials and local organisers to reschedule the event to take place in May next year. “For various logistical uncertainties and not least the current fluid political situation in Brazil, we have taken this decision on advice from our colleagues and are now working on dates for May 2023,” said RMM Managing director Selim Kemahli. “Whilst we realise this brings a highly successful 2022 season to a premature and unscheduled ending, we feel it is appropriate in order to avoid any possible issues that we may well have faced at the last minute. I would like to thank Will and Chris at WGSF, all the local organisers who have supported the championship and especially all the competitors for their ongoing support and for embracing our activities, direction and efforts in growing the series.”
